JP Sauer & Sohn 8mm Mauser sporting 8mm rifle. Krupp barrel. Has dovetails for scope. Stock and metal has factory engraving/checkering. Bore like new. Matched as was built. This is not a pre-war mix and match. Purchased in the early 1930's. As near as I can tell it was made in mid 1920's and was a non-import. The action is that of a standard 8mm mauser. JP Sauer offered customized sporter mausers and this appears to be one of those. These are very rare and collectible. Head space good. Accuracy and function are perfect. Internals seem to show that this gun was not used much. Some cosmetic issues. Stock has storage wear and bluing is more brown, but no rust or pitting or bent or broken bits. Could used a good cleaning. The accuracy of this gun in a vise is far better than most guns. It was truly made for the sportsman. Selling for 1/3 book price.
