Manufacturer is Sturm, Ruger & Company of Prescott, Arizona, and so marked. Construction is entirely steel metal, with stainless frame, slide, barrel, bushing, spring cap, and magazines; with black anodized sights and furniture. The Ruger SR1911, writes the factory, is a classically styled pistol designed with all of the modern manufacturing advances that you come to expect from Ruger. Accurate, rugged and reliable, the SR1911 is 100% American-made in American factories with American workers. If that’s not American enough, the SR1911’s specs and features approach those of the much pricier Colts, Kimbers, and Smith & Wessons. And in this case, Ruger has achieved something they’re not known for: beauty. This specimen comes to us from its exclusive civilian owner in Hawaii. From its 0 range serial number, it was manufactured in 2012, second year of production. It is in a generic factory box with both magazines, massive Ruger padlock, instruction manual, and factory papers including a never executed factory registration card. Surface detractions are negligible, all we detect is a faint, negligible amount of edge whitening to its anodized parts, and faint slide contact buffing on its barrel’s chamber hood. We rate it as Excellent in Box, perhaps Near Mint, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. From our knowledge of its owner, and from its condition, we estimate this pistol was fired fewer than 300 times.
