Smith & Wesson model 645 Semi-automatic stainless steel pistol. M645 Mod 645 45 ACP.

VINTAGE: 1985-1988 SERIAL NUMBER: TBJ4186 Caliber: 45 ACP

DESCRIPTION: This is a full-sized blowback-operated auto-loading pistol. It has a stainless steel frame, slide and barrel, an ambidextrous safety/decocker lever, a squared trigger guard for a better grip during 2-hand holding of the gun and black plastic grip plates. The barrel is 5 inches long with a built-in barrel bushing. factory metal checkering throughout. The front sight has a red-orange insert, while the factory rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation (which is rare factory option on these pistols).

MAGAZINE: 8-round, 2 stainless magazines (S&W).

This pistol is similar to the following S&W models: 4506 / 4566 / 4586. The operation is signal-action / double-action which is quite unique over the 1911's single-action-only (SAO) operation. The M645 fires a round in the chamber even when the hammer has been decocked! This is a great safety feature and allows you to carry one round in the chamber, flip off the hammer-blocked safety, and just pull the trigger!

CONDITION: Used 85%. I've owned and carried this pistol off and on for 6-1/2 years. New recoil spring installed courtesy of S&W.
