Owa Pocket Pistol made in Austria serial # 16535 6.35m/m or 25ACP, 2”bbl with a very good bore showing light pitting but strong rifling, tip up design for easy cleaning, The safety is frame mounted on the left side of the frame. Austrian proof marks may also be found on the left side of the bbl. OWA are the initials denoting the company, Osterreiche Werke Anstalte of Vienna, Austria. Manufactured between 1920 and 1925. Approxiately 8000 manufactured Limited production was largely due to the complexity of the firearm. Like ALL older guns, buyer should have it thoroughly checked out by a reliable and competent gunsmith before firing.
