This is a Nikko Golden Eagle Model 5000, Grade 1 Trap over and under 12ga. Shotgun. It is a 1975 first year edition of Nikko Sporting Firearms Golden Eagle Shotguns produced for and distributed by Kanematsu-Gosho USA, Inc. of Arlington Heights, Illionois. It has 30” barrels with improved and full chokes, hard chromed bores and chambers. The chambers are 2 3/4”. It has a 11mm wide ventilated rib, brass front and mid site beads. Auto ejectors, mechanical single selective trigger, tang safety and barrel selection, moderately engraved and high polished receiver with 14kt gold eagle’s head on the base of the receiver, semi-beavertail forend, flat knob pistol grip stock with original Trap Gun only Nikko installed “Pachmayr White Line” recoil pad. It has a 14 3/8” length of pull stock. Gloss poly finish on beautifully figured hand checkered walnut stock and forearm. Gun weighs 8lbs. 2 oz.. Comes with it’s original “Nikko” engraved, foamed-lined, hard plastic locking carrying case, key set, and original 1976 Golden Eagle Sale Catalog. The gun has had very little use and has been stored since 1977. It is for sale by the original owner.

This first year production Nikko shotgun is the same mechanically and was built to look and feel similar to the Winchester model 101 shotgun.
