CORRECTION! I had the date incorrect, and now have it corrected. This is a Colt 1911 Super 38 set up to shoot 38 wad-cutters. My book says serial number 14312x make it a 1959 production. It has had custom work done such as a full guide rod, and guide rod bushing, trigger work, stippled front of grip a reversed rear grip strap, and extended mag release. It also has ajustable Ellison rear sight, and a front blade that measures about .215 thousands.It comes with one clip marked Colt Super 38 auto.The metal finish is very good with little ware showing.The standard wood grips are dark,but have no dings or chips. I have shot it with Hornady 38 sp. wad cutters, and it functions correctly, and shoots accuratly. It's a fun easy shooting gun. More pictures available by email.
