Winchester 501, Grand European, Presentation Grade, 12 Gauge, Sk/Sk, 28" bbl, Black Chrome finish on receiver, trigger guard, and forend hardware(the only gun using this finish ever to my knowledge) w/sterling silver wire borders which causes the Black Chrome finish sparkle and refract as would a diamond in direct sunlight... This is the top model of the finest line in the collectable 101/501 family... The best of the best... Hand engraved with the strictest attention to detail, abundently and proudly displayed in world class workmanship -- with 24 Kt gold inlays on both sides -- and rendering the finest quality of artistic yet not pretentious or ostentatious coverage; painstakingly carved, cut, and polished out by hand using only hammers and jewelers chisels... No laser etching, acid etching, rolled or stamped "wannabe" engraving would do for this -- the crown jewel specimen offered by Winchester's own masters in the al but extinct artform of hand engraving and resulting in all the beauty and good taste which discerning collectors expect in such Presentation Grade guns. Surely this specimen stands head and shoulders above the rest, atop the Winchester line of over/unders in a class all it's own... Carefully selected heavily burled black walnut stock is hand carved with fine checkering. With original hard luggage canvas case bordered by Italian leather corners and straps. An heirloom in the making to be sure; as well as a skeet gun to be proud of shooting for a lifetime of enjoyment.
