Here are Mec Gar 9 round magazines to fit any Colt Government Size Pistol chambered in 9mm Caliber. Mec Gar magazines, write the factory technicians, are constructed from certified carbon steel and feature a heat treated housing and a hi-impact polymer or certified carbon steel follower and floorplate. The surface is nickel plated high corrosion resistance. This magazine will only fit a 1911 type Single Action Semi-Auto Pistol chambered in 9mm caliber: 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9x19, 9mm NATO, call it what you will, THE 9mm. Colt Models include Government and Commander, all variants with a full length grip frame. They will work just fine in the Armscor Rock Island Pistols chambered in 9mm. These magazines are just what the doctor ordered for the Colt Government pistols in 9mm. They Will Not work in a .45 Automatic; Will Not Work in a .38 Super; Will Not Work in an old Model Browning BDA 9mm; Will Not Work in an EAA Witness; Will Not Work on the valve of a 19th Century Italian Bidet. They will only work in a 1911 type Pistol chambered in 9mm caliber whose magazine well measures 4 1/2 inches deep from the butt of the grip frame to the bottom of its closed slide.
