This is a very nice Special Edition Brown Bone handled Case Trapper, pattern 6254SS, manufactured in 2008 to honor the founder of the Company, William Russell Case. Logo shield on the obverse panel is stylized appropriate to the late 19th Century. Handles are close picked and symmetrical with seven grooves lengthwise and very nice pink toned coloration at their ends. Tang stamping is also 19th Century script, with two X figures for 2008. We rate it as Mint or Near Mint, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically, in terms of backspring strength. The Trapper, of course, measures a full 4 inches closed with a main California Clip pattern blade augmented by an extended spey pattern or flesh blade, both of which measure 3 3/8 inches from heel to point.
