This pistol is definately a shooter as it has a very strong hammer spring and the trigger works perfectly including half cock. What I can see of the smooth bore looks good. The wood stocks are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and the wood has lots of grain (see photos). The metal has a very nice patina (see photos). This pistol is in perfect working condition and appears to have had a modern percussion nipple installed. This gun would make a great reenactor's belt pistol.
