This Smith and wesson Model 65-4 is the stainless steel version of the .357 Magnum, Model 13. It is a square-butt revolver. This revolver has a heavy four inch barrel built on a K frame. The sights are fixed with a ramped, cross serrated front blade and the usual pinched groove on the topstrap. The trigger isa smooth, rounded, "combat" type. The hammer is the narrow ,
"service" type with a knurled thumbpad. The cylinder release is the dished, rounded, square type used from circa 1900 until 1997. The polished stainless steel looks like bright nickle with a very few handling marks. The walnut, medalioned, checkered factory grip panels show wear and are the reason that this revolver presents on;ly a 96% condition to the world. This is a tough, powerful, well made belt revolver that can even be concealed if needed. The classic of many Smith and Wesson collections.
