Vintage 1952 Winchester Model 75 Target .22 LR, 28 inch barrel equipped with Redfield adjustable rear sight and globe type front. This fine condition Winchester sports the desirable grooved receiver with drilled and tapped barrel as well as the rather uncommon factory single shot original magazine. Rifle readily accepts five and ten shot magazines. This one is free from any alterations and has never been scoped. The metal finishes, as well as the bore rate fine with no pitting or significant finish loss. The wood displays some fine use and handling marks, but is free from any cracks, chips or unsightly blemishes. Rifle is believed to have been used as part of a local schools shooting team at one time years ago, although undocumented, as is evident by the faint number “3” penciled on the pistol grip underside and matching serialized bolt. It is quite possible with little effort this could be removed, as it is not deep and rather smooth, but was left intact to keep its originality and character of a gone by era. Overall the rifle has been well cared for and is clean and straight, operating as expected with no noticed flaws. A nice addition to any Winchester enthusiasts’ collection.
