30-06, serial number 679XXX. Standard grade Sedgley sporter. Classic pre-war pattern. 3 panel cut checkering. Triangle behind tang has typical chip missing, 3/8" x 1/2" , about 1/8" deep. Winchester style buttplate, gutta percha grip cap. Oil staining and chip by bolt release, otherwise minor marring and handling wear in wood. 2 holes in front bridge, 1 hole in rear bridge. Mild pitting and marring on front sight ramp band. Front sight cover appears to be Redfield replacement. Rear sight proper era Lyman 48. Sedgley barrel manufactured by Winchester. Proper barrel band sling swivel. Floorplate and trigger guard retain 85-90% blue, receiver and barrel retain about 95% blue, except for front sight band, shows extensive wear. Bore is very good-excellent. No pitting. On bolt face some primer flame cutting. More photos on request. Also available early Weaver 330 scope with correct rings and Redfield Jr base.
