Late Webley Commercial Service Model Mark III .455 Revolver retailed by Hooton & Jones of Liverpool. Marked .455/476 on barrel. About excellent high-polish blue with dulling gripstraps, a few scratches from poor storage, and some freckles on the topstrap. Bore is fair to good - strong rifling and shootable but shows considerable corrosion. Grips are coarsely checkered. May have been made in 1899 and most likely an officer purchase for the Boer War. No import marks. Mark III revolvers aren't easy to find.
