Marlin model 1897 .22lr take-down rifle. Made in 1902. Plain straight grip stock with orig. floor plate. The case hardened color and blue have worn away to a mottled grey/silver finish. Includes an original fold down front sight showing white bead when down and round peep type with gold bead when up. The gun is in excellent, working condition. I have seen this rifle sell for twice as much in worse condition then mine.The wood stills shows varnish with some small dings and no major straches.
