Here's a rare and very collectable Remington Rolling Block No. 5 Sporting or Target Rifle. It features a 30" round barrel and a straight-grip stock with a half-length forend. From a measurement of the diameter of the barrel, I believe it to be .30US Cal. It has an open adjustable rear sight and a blade-type front sight. It is marked "Remington Arms - Union Metallic CTG. Co." and the next line reads "Rem. Works Ilion, N.Y. U.S.A. Patd. Oct. 22, 1901." Manufactured between 1901 and 1905. In good/very good condition. This gun's value as listed in the 2012 Standard Catalog of Firearms (page 871) is between $2,250. to $5,750. More photos available via email. FREE INSURED SHIPPING!!
