This is the German made model and is in a 22 inch barrel. Very few were made in a 22-250 and when you see the 22 inch barrel you are looking at an extremely rare rifle. I believe a total of 9000 were made in the 24 and 26 inch barrels. This is the German model in a 22 inch barrel. From what I can tell this is an unbooked model in the USA. I believe this was made by Sauer and Sohn in West Germany. The action was scaled down and reduced action weight by 40%. Please also note the wood on this stock. Very very nice. The weight of this rifle is 6.6-6.8 lbs with the rings, bases and scope. This rifle has not been modified and the weight of later and longer models was 6.5 lbs stripped. So where might this come from. I ask the question of a regional expert who has been in the local are for 30 years. He said a few of the rarest models have come over from Europe. A few have have had iron sites and some obviously made it here in the 22 inch barrel. Probably only a handful. This is what you are bidding on. He owns Als Gun Shop in here in Oregon.
