Fox AE 20ga.- SINGLE TRIGGER—5 3/4LBS—NICE

What a great little Fox we have here. A Philly Fox made in 1928, it is still in excellent shape and has all of the most desirable extras; Fox/Kautzky single selective trigger, EJECTORS, lightweight 26” Chromox barrels, and full length, uncut stock. Talk about a quick little upland gun, at 5lbs. 11oz. it comes to shoulder on its own. Walk all day after Mr. Grouse and still have your arms fresh at day’s end. This gun still retains some nice case color, perfect screws, nice wood to metal fit, has a freshly refinished stock, and perfectly rust blued barrels, so it looks gorgeous as well.

The 26” number 3 weight barrels are as new, with excellent bores, 100% rust blued barrels, clear lettering, no dents, dings, pits, tight ribs and barrels ring, 2 ½” chambers (can be lengthened for $120 but no need in order to shoot 2 ¾” plastic shells. If you don’t know why, ask.), internal bore diameter .620 each barrel, choked my favorite IC/F (012/.029), minimum barrel wall thickness 27 thousandths right barrel, 30 thousandths left barrel, EJECTORS, barrels tight on breech face, all in perfect condition.

The receiver retains 40% original case colors, perfect screws, Single Selective Trigger that functions perfectly, clear, sharp engraving, 99% blue on trigger guard, action tight with lever waaay right of center, ejectors strong and perfectly timed. The entire action was disassembled, inspected, cleaned, and properly lubed when the wood was refinished this winter and all is in perfect order, ready for decades of service with no problems.

The wood is 100% newly done with clean sharp checkering, full oil finish with all pores filled, looks just beautiful. The butt stock measures 13 ½” from the rear trigger position to the original butt plate, which equates to a 14 ½” LOP from the front trigger of a two trigger gun, so the stock has not been cut. I can add a solid red rubber pad and provide a longer LOP upon request for an additional $120. Drop at heel is 3”, drop at comb 1 ¾”, splinter forearm in excellent shape, good wood to metal fit, no dents or dings.

The gun is ready to go for a summer of Sporting Clays to warm up for a good season flushing grouse, chasing woodcock, quail, or any of the fine birds we love across the country. Graded Fox guns have become a sound investment opportunity and will continue to grow in value because of the shortage of supply. Single Trigger guns are very hard to come by, especially in the A Grades, so if that is to your liking, don’t let this one get by you. I HAVE A 30 DAY MECHANICAL GUARANTEE ON THIS GUN AS WELL AS THE USUAL 3 DAY INSPECTION. This gives you the confidence that you can go out and shoot the gun and not end up with a repair bill in addition to your original cost. Ya’ gotta love that!
