Very scarce Degueldre - Lefaucheux pinfire revolver. Very interesting large frame, open-top design with fluted six shot cylinder. The barrel assembly and cylinder moves 1.25 inch forward for unloading, when the lever located on the right side of the barrel is turned down. Unusual design of the frame without the loading gate, which was replaced by "L" shaped spring that secures cartridges in the cylinder. Very nice dark walnut two-piece wooden grips with diamond checkering. 6 inch long octagonal barrel. Maker markings on the left side of the barrel housing, "Crown over EL" (E. LEFAUCHEUX ?). Right side of the barrel housing is marked, "Crown over X, DEGUELDRE BREVETE". House of Liege proof on the cylinder. British pressure test proof marks are also stamped on each chamber of the cylinder. Very high quality of machining and assembly. Blue finish on the frame, cylinder and barrel. Case coloring on the hammer and trigger. Single and double action. CONDITION: Revolver is in fine, original condition. For more information please visit our web site.
