German M.1871 Mauser rifle converted to 6.5mm at St. Dennis, France, as a part of Uruguayan military contract. The right side of the receiver displays German production date, "1881". Matching serial numbers as restamped by French arsenal. Complete with proper cleaning rod. Brass trigger guard, steel butt plate. This enigmatic rifle is also called "Dovitiis-Mauser", or "Mauser 1871/92". CONDITION: Fine. Metal has smooth, uniform blue finish turning to brownish color in some places. Bore is in excellent condition, with strong and shiny rifling. Cal. 6.5x53.5mm, semi-rim. For more info please visit our web site.
