HUGE CHARLEVILLE RAMPART RIFLE

Manufactured by Charleville in 1828 this huge FORTRESS RIFLE was originally flintlock and one of the first BREECHLOADING rifles in use. This is the earliest model which was factory converted to percussion in 1831 and is the rarest of this early BREECHLOADING type. It was the invention of von Delvinge.
