Overall length 46 inches. Top flat of barrel marked COLT'S PATENT 1856. ADDRESS COL. COLT, HARTFORD CT. USA. Early model with with a small trigger guard and no checkering on the wrist and forearm. Pewter forend cap. Wooden ramrod. Barrel has a smooth brown patina. Frame and cylinder are a light grey brown and have a little light pitting and some nicks and scratches. Colt's Patent markings on left side of frame very light. Butt stock and forend in good condition with minor dents and a small crack on the left side of the forearm at the escutcheon plate. Action works just fine.
