Belgian Double 12 gauge hammer gun, 26" Damascus barrels, manufactured before 1898.
It is a single action. Field grade 12 gauge. Chambers a 2 5/8" shell. Belgium-twist
Damascus barrels; pattern is very visual but the barrels overall are turning brown,
no dents, bores are very good. It is improved cylinder / improved cylinder. It has a
flat rib front beaded sight. Double triggers with smooth finish. The front trigger is
designated to the right chamber, and the back trigger is designated to the left
chamber. Double hammer, the right hammer appears to have been replaced. Is still in
excellent functional condition. The receiver / frame is showing some signs of case
coloring in certain areas, but overall is turning brown. It has a splinter-type forend.
There is a small chip on the right side, but still sound and does not effect its
strength. LOP 13 3/4" over a steel butt plate. Stock displays numerous scratches and
slight dents, but no cracks and is very sound. Some markings are on both sides of the
receiver, "Richards". On the barrel "Belgium Twist", and then there are 12 Belgium
proof markings on the barrel flats, then there is the serial # and more Belgium proof
markings on the water table. There is a # 3 on the inside of the forend. Overall it
