U.S. 1842 Pistol By Aston 54 caliber, 8 1/2" round barrel. The lock plate marked "US / H. Aston & Co." ahead of the hammer, and Middton / Conn / 1851" vertically behind the hammer. The tang date is also 1851. The metal has a greyish light brown patina with only a trace of of old rust or pitting. The brass furniture is untouched with an even tarnish overall. The wood is excellent with crisp cartouches with only a few dings present. An excellent example of an American marshall pistol. Refer to our stock number 80704B.Eldon
