Up for auction is a Franchi Alcione-T 20 Gauge Over / Under – rare high grade 4/5 Wood. Franchi has been called the best LEAST KNOWN brand of Italian shotguns. It is imported into the US by Benelli. The Alcione-T has an aluminum alloy receiver to reduce overall weight reinforced with Titanium in the trunnions and breech face, chrome-lined proofed barrels for steel shot, and the barrel selector is mounted on the trigger rather than the tang to make it easier to quickly switch while in the field/clays course. This gun shoots 2 3/4" or 3" ammo. Has 28" barrels with interchangeable choke tubes and middle ventilated rib (metal grade: 99%). As the pics show, this gun has absolutely SUPERB upgraded fiddleback (curly) walnut with fine dark horizontal grain lines (Grade 4/5). The stock and forend have been cut from the matching wood lot, and they are finished in a subtle satin finish. The only imperfections are two very slight ~1” handling marks on one side of the stock (wood grade: 97%-98%). This is a beautiful specimen of a wonderful over/under wingshooting shotgun in a very desirable bore, certainly light enough to carry all day. Gun comes complete with Franchi factory plastic hard-shell carry storage case, all manuals, 3 choke tubes and Franchi original accessories (choke tube wrench, lubricant and 20 gauge bore snake).
