Marlin Model '93 –NEAR MINT CONDITION- Cal. .38-55

This is a fantastic old Marlin lever gun with nearly all of its original factory finish in the very desirable .38-55 caliber. This gun was manufactured around 1922 based upon its barrel markings and retains all of the original factory sights, buttplate, screws, etc. It has not been altered in anyway, with no extra holes anywhere.

The 26" barrel has a mint shiney bore, retains 95% of its original barrel blue with some handling marks, clear sharp lettering, full length magazine, and clean crown.

The receiver retains over 95% original case color, excellent screws, near all the blue on the loading gate, lever has all of the original case color, clear sharp lettering. The serial number is a mystery to me. If anybody can shed any light on this for me I would appreciate it. You can see the stampings in photo number 12. It does not seem to be in the range of normal numbers for a Model 1893.

The wood is in excellent condition with nearly all of the original factory varnish, no cracks, splits, or repairs anywhere, nicely figured for a standard rifle, original steel butt plate that retains most all of the original case color, though somewhat discolored.

This is a very HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION MODEL 1893 for your collecting and shooting pleasure. The .38-55 caliber is hard to find in these old rifles and adds significant extra value. Marlin lever actions are affordable collectibles and the value has seen a marked increase in the last few years. High condition examples are the best investment you can make.

I have more photos upon request. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER FINE VINTAGE FIREARMS ON THIS WEBSITE. I have a 30 day mechanical warranty on all this gun. Thanks for looking.
