The scope on this rifle is not notable, but it is a period appropriate Korean made Bushnell Sportview. If the buyer does not want it and the Burris extension medium rings, we will deduct $20, which will pay most of the shipping. This is a Bicentennial Year Grade I Browning B.A.R. Auto in .243 Winchester Caliber. As with most BARs, it has been hunted with more than it has been fired. The bore, gas mechanism, magazine, and action are all clean and excellent, and appear to have been well maintained with no rust indications. Glossy European stock and forend have light to moderate scuffs, scours and scratches that affect no more than 30 percent of the wood finish by our estimate. Bluing is about 80 percent intact, with light scouring and scratching on the receiver sides, a few small pecks on the barrel exterior, and case or carry wear on the lower edges of the receiver, on the receiver’s sharp edges, and on the edges of the muzzle. This is, despite its normal hunting wear, an eminently serviceable, mild-recoil, and even attractive rifle. Replacement price on BARs is now over $1,000.00 in our area.
