The item that you are considering is a Remington 700 that was customized to look like an M40A1. No this is not an original stolen M40A1 but is a nice copy of one. The action is a Remington 700 and is chambered in 308win. The barrel is a Douglas 24 inch #8 XX air guaged barrel with a 1-10 twist. The crown in the standard recessed M40 type. The stock is a Mcmillan M40A1 stock with sling studs. The finish is a flat black color. The OAL is 43.5 and th LOP is 14 inches. The trigger is adjustable and measures 5-6 pounds. The trigger guard is steel and looks to be a williams. The mount is optional and can be purchased by the buyer of the rifle for an additional $150. The Harris bipod is also an option and can be included for $100. I am not the builder of this rifle and it is not stamped as to the maker or customizer. The rifle comes as shown minus the scope mount and bipod. The action is not clip slotted. I am not the original owner and do not have the manual, original receipt, box or any other accessories. I have not put a scope in the mount and have not shot this rifle. The bore is new in condition without any defects, rust or pitting. I do accept credit cards but his carries a 3% charge.
