Here is an almost complete set of early Lincoln Cents. Six of the missing coins, of course, are tough ones to get hold of, but the search is rewarding and enjoyable. Coins missing are the 1909-S, the 1909-S VDB, the 1911-S, 1914-D, 1924-D and 1931-S. The 1922-P, of course, is not even in the picture at all; it was an error coin anyway from the Denver Mint. This set also lacks semi-keys 1912-S, 1914-S, 1915-S, and 1922-D. As far as condition, 1912-D, 1916-D, 1917-D, and 1918-S all have weak dates; and 1918-D, 1919-D, 1925-D, and 1928-S have residue deposits. All the others range from Good to Extremely Fine by our estimate. We are including close-ups of the semi-keys included: 1909 VDB, 1910-S, 1911-D, 1913-S, and 1926-S. Note the superb details of the cleaned 1919 VDB and many of the others. 1916-D, 1918-S, 1921-S, and many of the 1930s coins will rate in the VF range we believe. This set comes in an older Whitman folder with a 1949 copyright. Complete sets command pricing of $1500 or more at present.
