The history of 12 gauge shotgun serial #307821

I live in upstate NY several hours from Ithaca NY. In 1974 or so I purchased this 12 gauge double barrel Ithaca “Flues” shotgun from an old man in that area. The barrels were blown up near the ends and the story was he had bought it new in Ithaca and it served him well his entire life. In the early 70’s he lent it to his son to rabbit hunt and while hunting in the snow his son plugged the ends of the barrels with snow and it blew out the ends. I bought the wrecked gun off him for $60 with the money I saved from my summer job while in high school. The stock was cracked or broken in several places and the butt plate was missing. This was “pre internet” and I wanted to repair the gun to hunt with. I simply clamped the barrels together and paid the auto garage down the road $5 to weld the rib and barrels back together. Then I used a grinding wheel to grind any slag out of the ends. So it’s basically and open choke. The stock was repaired with two pins in the top near the lever and a missing piece was glued or epoxy with some reinforcement back in near the trigger guard. This gun served me equally well from 1974 until 1992 when the hammer on one side broke. I disassembled it to find the problem and it got tossed in a closet until now. Unfortunately two small parts and a screw were lost over the years. The bluing is old or worn off. Cold blue was applied to areas. When I was young I attempted to drill the center of the rib to install another bead and left two off center holes in the rib. One screw is missing in the forend, one is missing in the bottom plate and one hammer is still broken. The original butt plate was not on it, nor was the pistol grip cap and both were replaced with mahogany by me as a teenager while building myself a shotgun. The top of the receiver appears to have been bead blasted on the tang as it is really clean, (don’t recall doing that..) All the serial numbers match, forend, receiver, barrels are 307821 and this indicates the gun was manufactured in 1919 . I believe the stock wood to be walnut This is an "AS IS" sale for parts or your rebuild.
