The ultra mag allows you to take advantage of Remington’s new power level ammo. This ammo matches the ballistics of a 30-06, 300 win mag, and the full power ultra loads. The 26" barrel on this rifle allows you to take full advantage of the cartridge. You are in a way buying three guns in one. The BDL series rifles also have sights on the barrel.
