HG5723 Here is a very attractive Rossi Model 88 Blue Steel Revolver that was manufactured in Brazil by Amadeo Rossi and imported by Mr. Sam Cummings's Interarms Company in their heyday. Serial number is AA3152xx, and we estimate that this Rossi 88 was manufactured in the late 1980s. It is excellent throughout with its original Brazilian Goncalo grips, 2 inch counterbored and pinned barrel, and serrated blue steel hammer and trigger. Specs are the same as its descendant model R351: double- or single-action revolver, all steel construction, 5 shot capacity, weight 25 ounces empty. This is a local civilian owned revolver that comes to us from Maury County, across the Tennessee River from us. It is excellent throughout. Its only surface detractions are very faint cylinder rotation marking and faint whitening on the edges of the cylinder face. It is excellent mechanically; bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap above the barrel's forcing cone is negligible, and cylinder face carbon residue is negligible as well. We do not believe this revolver has been fired more than 20 times in its 25-some-odd-year existence. Replacement price on its descendant 351 in our area is around $350 out the door, and we prefer this one to the current new ones, no disrespect at all intended to Braztech/Rossi/Taurus. Own this fine Interarms Rossi 68 for only $ 269.00. Not transferable to civilians in California, D.C., or Massachusetts.
