From a local West Tennessee Estate comes this W.R. Case, Circle C pattern Tested XX pen knife that was manufactured some time in the 1920s. Overall length closed is 3 inches, and the main long-drag spear pattern blade measures just under 2 inches from heel to point, only slightly down from its original 2 inch length. Pen blade measures its full 1 1/2 inches, and we believe it is full original size. Surface detractions to the blades and backsprings are moderate, with about 15 percent superficial pitting residue, as the photos will show. Nickel Steel Bolsters, liners, and rivets are Very Good and clean. This knife has undergone light buffing at some point in its life, but tang stamping is clear and sharp on both blades. Handle panels, the star of this show, exhibit only one superficial flake on the obverse panel near the spear blade’s bolster, very shallow. The panels are, as the photos show, genuine Mother of Pearl and fully intact with no other flaws.
