Manufacturer was Simmonds Precision of West Haven, CT, principally under contract to the US Army and US Air Force. Production dates were from 1966 until 1971. Construction is alloy body, follower, and floorplate, with steel spring. Floorplates, as the photos show, bear the Simmonds Precision stylized SP logo, and markings M16 / M16A1 Cal 5.56 mm / Universal Inds. Div. / Simmonds Prec. Prod. Inc. / West Haven, Conn. U.S.A. These magazines show only moderate finish weakening on their surfaces. These magazines are period correct for any AR-15 with an SP prefix with no Forward Bolt Assist. They will work in any AR15 type rifle chambered in .223 Remington caliber. Buyer will receive one (or all) of the magazines in the photos.
