Made in (possibly early) 1950 at Tula arsenal during second year of its SKS production -- receiver cover stamped 1950r. 7.62 X 39 cartridge. The hardwood stock has several small, minor dings, but, overall, finish is nice. On top of the hand guard, there are some small dings and some of the finish has been worn or scraped off, likely from handling at the factory and/or during packing for shipment to the U.S. (please see photo) -- there is no raw, natural wood color showing. I rate the overall condition of the metal and bluing at 99%+. 10-rd. hinged magazine. Stamped numbers are all matching on the receiver, receiver cover, trigger guard, magazine, bolt, and stock. Milled trigger guard/trigger group. Knurled bolt knob. Threaded barrel; mint bore. Attached bayonet has matte silver finish. Polished bright silver-finish bolt. No indications on action of wear from firing. Includes web sling, stripper clip, oiler bottle, and cleaning kit (in butt plate trapdoor). Importer: CDI, Swan, VT. Serial number: CCCP26746. Is in same condition as when I purchased it from a distributor in the 1990s, when I was an FFL dealer; I have not fired it. The Tula arsenal marking, an arrow within a star, is on the top of the receiver cover (please see photo). I could not find arsenal refurb markings (such as a square box with diagonal line inside it) anywhere and there is no XXXXX-type stamp-over (covering up old numbers) on the butt stock (please see my photo and 1950 Early 1950 Tula star/arrow marking photo at also, please notice, just below the Early 1950 Tula star/arrow photo, the Mid-1950 star/arrow, with the square box/diagonal line, showing the refurb marking for the Mid-1950 refurb production). I read that comparatively-few non-refurbed Russian SKSs were exported, so this may be a more rare piece than the higher number of imported refurbished Russian SKSs. Having no refurb markings may enhance its collectability/future $ value, so I am, thus, pricing it slightly higher than what many refurbished rifles sell for. Reason for my no-return policy is because the rifle is exactly as I have described and have shown in the photos. Thank you very much for your interest.

My FFL dealer will ship to your FFL dealer. Please send postal money order because they post quickly to my bank account, which enables me to ship the gun quickly. If I can legally ship the gun to your dealer, the charge is $30; if I have to go through my dealer to ship to your FFL dealer (such as to CA, where there may be restrictive requirements for regulatory compliance), the charge will be $40 and I will pay the extra charge of $15-20 for shipping through my FFL dealer. |
