This is a very fine example of the Colt 1911 A1 manufactured under license with Argentina. The early serial # dates gun to be 1946 manufacture . It looks to be a late import judging from the very small [hard to find] import mark on frame forward of left grip. The FMAP arsenal refinish for export to U.S. market looks to be 100%- no rust, no wear. The black grips are plastic [I think] in 100% condition. Has correct cross hatch checkering on hammer,trigger,safety lever, and slide stop lever. The barrel is bright with strong lands. All serial numbers with the exception of the mag, match- but is correct Argentine mag. not late U.S.. Gun function is excellent and is very solid and tight. An excellent quality. C&R eligible.
In 1927, the Argentina Arsenal "DGFM-FMAP" began manufacturing the Model 1911A1. These guns were made in Argentina under license from Colt, with Colt machinery, and with help from Colt engineers, and are known as Model 1927 Systema Colt. The pistols were manufactured in accordance with Colt's 1927 drawings. THEY ARE EXACT COPIES of Colt's 1927 pistols (identical to US military M1911A1 pistols) except for very minor differences. The parts were interchangeable. The only noticeable differences were the markings, grips, black oxide bluing, a sharp edge on the rear of the hammer, and a sharp edge on the heel of the grip safety. Triggers were solid as on the 1927 Colts , and the checkering on the mainspring housing was changed from Colt type cut checkering to indented checkering.

If you fail to close the deal I will hold funds until the firearm is sold. If the firearm is sold for less, the difference will be deducted from the deposit plus 10% for my time, storage and taking the firearm off the market for your lay-a-way period.
SHIPPING: All firearms will be shipped Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT- Modern firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in Buyer's area. Buyer must supply to Seller a copy of Buyer's driver license and a copy of Buyer's local FFL dealer's license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms. All handguns are shipped to an FFL.
SAFETY NOTICE- Buyer is solely responsible for determining that the firearm purchased is safe to shoot. By bidding, the buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by buyer's failure to have the firearm properly inspected for safety.
RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day return policy conditioned upon the firearm being returned in exactly the condition mailed- not being fired , messed with in any way. In the case of a return, buyer pays all shipping charges. FIREARM MUST REMAIN WITH THE FFL DURING THE INSPECTION PERIOD.
