After 1964, Winchester produced a viable, economical competitor to Ruger's 10/22 stalwart. These were manufactured by Cooey in Canada for Winchester, and the 190 series rifles were successful and reputable. Many traditionalists to this day like them for being first, tube fed, and second, the easiest rimfire semi-auto on the market to clean. Not that this one has been kept clean, mind you, this one comes from a coon hunting career in the Forked Deer wetlands of West Tennessee where it has been only occasionally fired, but much carried. Alloy receiver's finish is quite strong with extensive moderate scouring; the same holds true for the hardwood buttstock and forend. The steel barrel and tube are about 30 percent original blue with the remainder brown patina, some of it with roughness on its surface. We rate it as Good, perhaps Very Good, since about 40 percent of its finish is affected by handling and weathering. Photos should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism, however, are all bright, clean, and excellent. We're offering this serviceable, collectable Canadian Winchester model 190, 12 shot tube fed with 20 inch barrel and step adjustable rear sight, for only $ 159.00.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $50 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground with full insurance coverage.
