XM5687 In the wake of the 1968 Gun Control Act with its dimensional limits, clearly racially motivated, Florida Importers, notably Eig Cutlery, went into actual production of heretofore Italian- and German-made handguns with US Made Pot Metal frames and Italian and German Parts. Photos show the first specimen of the FIE Guardian, manufactured in similar fashion by F.I.E. in Miami after Mr. Saul and Mrs. Lois Eig sold the company publicly in about 1969. The pistol itself is the F.I.E. Guardian, manufactured to specs of the Galesi .25 Auto imported in modest quantities from about 1948 until 1968. Most of the parts, we believe, will interchange with the original Galesis; we are unclear about the grips. We’re offering the internal parts of this pistol on a first-come, first-served basis as follows:
Slide Assembly - $ 29.95; Firing Pin Assembly - $ 29.95; Grips - $ 29.95;
Magazine release and spring - $ 29.95; trigger assembly - $ 29.95; Magazine - $ 39.95
Note that the finger rest portion of the magazine is partly absent. If someone wants all the parts without the barrel/frame assembly; or if they have an FFL or transfer agent, we’ll send the whole kit and caboodle for only $ 69.95.
