The semi-auto Russian SAIGA AK47, chambered in .308 Winchester, features a 21.85 inch barrel for long range tactical applications. World renowned AK47 reliability is combined with the battle-proven performance of the .308 Win. cartridge. The sheer firepower of this semi-automatic AK47 long range tactical weapon is incredible! Our master machinist precision flutes the 21.85 inch barrel. Barrel fluting adds rigidity for increased accuracy, increases surface area for improved heat dissipation, and reduces weight. Next, we locate the trigger guard next to the magazine latch and install a customized G2 trigger group for a crisp 3.5# trigger pull. We turn the end of the barrel down and add mil-spec 14:1 metric left hand threads so you can install any mil-spec AK47 muzzle break or flash suppressor. The GUN-KOTE™ metal coating and finish we apply was designed specifically for special weapons in harsh environments. This thermal cured metal coating & finish was first specified by the U.S. Military for use on SOCOM Special Sniper Weapons (SPR’s) in 2003. GUN-KOTE™ is far superior to parkerized, blued, or air dry finishes in both durability and performance. GUN-KOTE™ metal coating & finish protects metal parts from rust, corrosion, & scratches and will not break down, peel or dissolve. In fact, once applied and thermal-cured, the only way to remove it is through abrasive blasting. GUN-KOTE™ is resistant to ALL known gun solvents, oils, acids, and thinners. GUN-KOTE™ is a highly specialized, hard, abrasion resistant coating that meets ALL MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS for protective metal coatings. GUN-KOTE™ is formulated to provide excellent impact resistance, lubricity (meets military dry firing specs), heat dissipation, chemical resistance, corrosion protection, durability, and scratch resistance.
