No maker's name evident, although the barrel is a Douglas (marked "G.R. Douglas" and "XX". Also, "J. Norman '91" is written in marker on the inside of the barrel channel.) The magnum-length Model 70 action has serial 318684. Features include four-port Mag-Na-Port to reduce recoil and muzzle lift, quarter rib express sight with one fixed (regulated) and two folding (green/unreguated) leafs, barrel-mounted sling swivel stud, jeweled extractor and bolt body, glass bedding, twin cross bolts, Blackburn (or similar) custom bottom metal, steel pistol grip cap, pedestal Howell-type rear sling swivel stud and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.Metal is about 97%, reflecting only the lightest field use over the rust blue finish. Wood is about 90%, mostly due to light but scattered impressions and scratches, plus blotches on the surface finish (which would probably rub out with oil).
