The metal detailing of ducks and geese on either side of the breech is still very clear, as is the Damascus finish on the barrel. The action is tight, the triggers as well, and the serial numbers all match. There are front and rear ivory sights, and detailing of grouse above the trigger guard. Some minor scratches do exist on the stock, as well as two pin-head size dings on the front of the right barrel. The gun, its wood and metal, has a mellow patina of the nearly seven decades since its last owner put it away after hunting. It is a living piece of history, ready for restoration. Sold, as is.
