***ROCK AND ROLL CLASS III STYLE***ROCK AND ROLL CLASS III STYLE***For sale is a USED NE (NEW ENGLAND) SMALL ARMS CORP. BROWNING AUTOMATIC RIFLE (BAR) M 1918A2 chambered for .30/06 in GOOD condition. Serial number on the action is 512066. This machine gun was manufactured pre-1986 and is a form 3 transferable submachine gun to FFL/SOT’s only and not to the private individual. It is papered as a “Sales Sample”. The receiver is stamped “BROWNING AUTOMATIC RIFLE U.S. CAL 30 M1918A2” on the top on the action. Also the action is stamped with numerous other arsenal marks (See pics). This gun is near perfect even though it has been refinished. All of the work was done by a Class III manufacture who specializes in restorations and he did an excellent job. All of the various letterings and stampings are still very visible. The gray parkerized finish is 95-98+% with the only real wear (and we are talking slight) being on the sharp edges. The bore of the 24 inch barrel is need of a good scrubbing but does retain good rifling. The barrel is date stamped “1-44”. This BAR is equipped with the bi-pod with the skid type feet. The action is smooth and tight. The trigger and select rate of fire switch are very crisp as is the bolt mechanism. The rear sight is a windage adjustable sight that also flips up for increased elevation adjustment and the front is a factory drift adjustable blade type. The wood forend is the only real “black eye” if there is one. It has a small crack on the left side that could be repaired. Fortunately the wood for the carry handle is crack free. The plastic buttstock, with the shoulder support butt plate, is in very good condition with some small marks from handling but no cracks or large dents/dings. The metal fit and finish is excellent. All of the wear showing is expected of a firearm of this vintage and orgin. This firearm comes with (1) 20 round magazine. You could own yourself a real piece of history here.
