"These weapons are basically smaller versions of the M-92 series. The “Cheetah” moniker is not used in Europe, but is the name by which these pistols are commonly known in the US and Canada. They are simple weapons which have a double-action-only mechanism, several safeties, and easy disassembly. By 1987, the M-81 was out of production, but by then several thousand had been made and employed by police forces in Western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The M-81 is the base model, with an ambidextrous safety, a magazine release which may be switched between the left and right sides of the frame, and an optional magazine safety."
This is a seldom seen, beautiful and substantial piece with very little wear---the only visable wear is a small dent in the left wood grip just below the top grip screw....a really fine weapon at a really great price.
