This .22LR Sporter is exquisite, for its age. I purchased it from a local doctor in his late eighties, who bought it for a nephew in the early seventies. The lads mother would not allow him to have the rifle and it has been in the doctors safe for almost forty years. He says that he never fired it. I can't dispute what he said, but there is a faint mark on the magazine follower-which looks like it was loaded once, and very faint partial primer set-back on the bolt face. Factory test firing? Anyway, I've know the doc for many years and he's an honorable man. There are a few faint safe dings on the rifle and the safety lever was set rather tight so that when in the 'off' position one can see where the lever has rubbed through the finish(see pic). The ding on the lower right side, behind the magazine is just through the finish and has since been rubbed out with palm oil. Otherwise, the rifle is as new. It features a 21 3/4" barrel with front sight hood,Monte Carlo stock with cheek-piece and schnabel fore-end, one magazine, sling swivels and a folding rear sight. No box or papers.
