This Pre-Woodsman was built in 1917. It has a 6 5/8 inch barrel and has had the Colt kit installed to allow the use of high velocity ammunition. The original adjustible front and rear sights are still in fine shape. The trigger pull is crips and breaks at about three pouinds. The finish has no pitting and I'd say it was about a 15% blue with the remainder gray prior to being reblued in a bright blue. The bore is sharp and the magazine appears to be original. This automatic's grips were broken and were replaced with aftermarket checkered wooden grip panels with the Colt madalion carved into the right panel. This is a piece of history that can also be used as a plinkerolr to teach a grandchils the fundimentals of gun safety and marksmanship.
