Winchester Third Model 1873 rifle in 44 W.C.F. (44-40) caliber. S/N 3272XXB (1890). Octagon 24" barrel, crescent buttplate with sliding trap. Dust cover is integral to receiver top. Bore is rough but lands and grooves remain. Tight action, crisp trigger. Wood has been refinished and metal most likely reblued; light rust on receiver. $1,750 plus $40 shipping.
