Savage model 99EG lever action rifle chambered in .300 Savage

This auction is for an older, very nice Savage 99. The gun is in really good shape. Barrel and receiver finish is taking on the patina look. Barrel has some rust on the outside, two ¼” spots; one near the Schabel fore-end and one about ½ way between the fore-end and muzzle. Stock appears to be refinished – but done very nicely. There is a hairline crack coming off the top right side of the receiver, but isn’t of great concern (we divulge everything we find on the guns we offer for sale.) This model has the internal cartridge counter and brass follower. Action is smooth and lever locks up tight. Bore is clean with strong rifling. And the top of the receiver has been drilled and tapped for a scope mount. One really nice older ‘99. S/N 6004xx, manufactured shortly after 1950.
