Here is a U.S. Springfield 1847 69 Caliber Musket (Rifle) 42" barell. I will tell you all I can about this rifle and I'm sure I will leave something out so please ask. Rifle is in very nice condition of course considering it's age nice even brown patina and some pitting just in front of the lock on the barell ram rod looks original. Receiver marked Springfield 1847 and in front of that is the U.S. with crest also it's marked U.S. on the top of the butt plate. This rifle coks and locks up well. It looks as though there has been some finish added to the stock only in certain areas. Swivels are intact and appear original. Again I'm sure i have left some info out so please ask. Thank You
