F.C.Taylor Produced in the 1920s, the Fur Getter was a purpose-designed trap gun, meant to shoot an animal in the face at point blank range. This was accomplished by connecting the sear to a bait hook, which extends 4" past the muzzle, with the arm secured to the ground with an integral 2 1/4" screw or a 12" long steel spike (included). Marked "TAYLOR FUR GETTER. / F.C. TAYLOR FUR CO. ST. LOUIS. MO." on the left side of the frame, 1914 patent date on the reverse.
