Bright Stainless Steel & built on the frame of the Ruger New Vaquero, the Montado features a shorter 3 3/4” bbl to reduce size/weight & to improve holstering at gallop. Deeply checkered low, wide hammer spur to ease one-handed cocking & grooves on the front of the grip frame to help the shooter keep a firm grip. Retains innovations of the New Vaquero, including reverse-indexing pawl for ease of loading/unloading, transfer bar ignition, loading gate interlock & rugged reliability. Special production run.
